Terms of use
Short, and in plain language. Using this site means accepting what follows. If you do not accept it, please do not use the site.

This site is operated by The Ashta Project. Reach us at contact@theashtaproject.com.
Ashta is a peer-to-peer self-development and mastermind community and an open research programme. It tests contested claims about the mind with measurement, and publishes what it finds either way.

Nothing on this site, and nothing you receive as a member, is medical, psychological, psychiatric, diagnostic, therapeutic, legal or financial advice. Ashta does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and does not provide personal readings, healing or interpretive guidance.
If you have a health concern, consult a qualified professional. Do not delay seeking care, and do not stop or change a treatment, on the strength of anything here.
If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency service.
The systems Ashta examines — including astrology, Human Design, Gene Keys, the I Ching, the Enneagram and Myers-Briggs — are treated on this site as claims under test, not as established descriptions of anyone. A measurement or profile you receive from us is research output. It is not a verdict about you, and it should not be used to make a consequential decision about your health, your money, your relationships or your work.
We make no guarantee that taking part will change anything for you, and we make no guarantee about any specific result, benefit, improvement or discovery. That applies to the research and to the community equally.
We also do not guarantee that any given study will find an effect. A result consistent with chance is a legitimate outcome here and we publish those with the same prominence as any other.
Membership tiers, prices, caps and inclusions shown on this site are indicative and subject to final confirmation as we prepare for launch. They are not an offer capable of acceptance, and they may change. Nothing on this site forms a binding contract to supply a membership at a stated price.
Where a paid tier does open, the terms that apply are the ones presented to you at the point of purchase, not the indicative figures on the membership page.
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy securities.
Joining a study is your choice, and leaving one is too. You can withdraw at any time, without giving a reason, and without penalty or loss of standing in the community. Appearing in the documentary is a separate opt-in requiring written consent, and is never a condition of taking part in anything else.
How your data is handled, and how to withdraw it, is set out in the privacy policy.
Use the site and the community lawfully and decently. Specifically, do not:
We can suspend or remove access for a serious or repeated breach. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.
The text, design, diagrams and code of this site belong to The Ashta Project or to its licensors, and are protected by copyright. You may read, quote and link to it, with attribution. You may not republish substantial parts of it as your own, or use it commercially, without written permission.
Research outputs are a deliberate exception: methods, data and analysis are released openly at each milestone, on the terms stated with each release.
What you write and submit stays yours. By submitting it you give us permission to use it for the purposes described in the privacy policy — running the community and conducting and publishing the research in de-identified form. We do not claim ownership of your contributions.
This site links to external research, cites published work, and embeds video hosted elsewhere. We do not control those sources and we are not responsible for their content. Citing a study, a person or an organisation is not an endorsement of them, and does not imply their endorsement of Ashta.
We provide the site as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it. We will not remove a published research result because it turned out to be inconvenient.
To the extent the law allows, The Ashta Project is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or any decision you take on the basis of material on this site or of a measurement you receive from us.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one in force, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you directly.
The law and courts governing these terms follow the jurisdiction in which The Ashta Project is established. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
